This cottage for two people is located on a high relief overlooking the lake Kamweru and has a balcony. It is a wooden cottage with a doublebed, bathroom, and an eco sun toilet. In the surrounding area you are able to spot a variety of bird species and velvet monkeys. It is located only a few meters from the bar and lake view restaurant.

Hi, I'm DARIUS and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!

The Better Women Foundation is a community based organization at this moment and is registered as such to operate in the Rubirizi District. The founder of the foundation started by making an impact in the community where she was brought up and which community she knows really well.

She started to empower the woman in her district by making small groups and help them to improve the living conditions and intervene in the ongoing issues affecting women, adolescents, children, their families and communities.

long term plan is ;To contribute to a reduction in the vulnerabilities and gender inequalities targeting women and girls in Uganda through establishing and building capacities of community

Activities

Visits to the volcanic cave, cultural museum, volcanic lake, botanical garden, bird watching, botanical and natural forest, cooking classes and many more.

How to get there

You can drive by bus from Entebbe International Airport to Kampala City (2 hour drive. Then you board a bus to Mbarara city (another 4 hour drive) and take a taxi to Rubirizi (2 hour drive). There you take a taxi to Dave the Cave Eco Lodge (2km), or walk there.
