You want to immerse yourself in nature, are adventurous and just as happy with less comfort? Then our bell tents are just right for you.Glamping tents have a diameter of four to five meters and are equipped with a comfortable mattress (double or two single mattresses), bedding and a sleeping bag with sheet cover.
With as much contact with the surrounding nature as possible, without fences and ground sealing, you will find two different places for the tents: one is closer to the campsite, the camp kitchen, the toilets and the "common room".If you prefer a more quiet location, you can choose the second tent with a beautiful view of the Gardunha mountain.It is close to our pond, our cozy shelter, the wading pool and the forest toilets...

Mount of Oaks/Monte dos Carvalhos is hidden in the agricultural foothills of the Serra de Gardunha mountain. We are located between the historic villages of Castelo Novo, Alpedrinha and Povoa de Atalaia in the municipality of Fundão. The nearest major towns are Covilhã to the north and Castelo Branco to the south; a perfect base for various activities such as hiking, swimming, climbing and biking. Nearby are historic villages and a local organic market...

How to get there
Getting here by TRAIN: Our nearest train station, a 40 min walk from us, is Alpedrinha and there is a direct route to Lisbon. For details about the train services in Portugal check http://www.cp.pt
Getting there by BUS: The nearest bus stop is in Fundão, a local town 15km away. Check the bus website for travel within Portugal http://www.rede-expressos.pt/ This too has an option for English.
Getting there by CAR: The GPS co-ordinates for the Mount of Oaks community are: LAT 40.06072 LONG – 7.28198 – check these details and make sure that you are coming to Castelo Novo/Alpedrinha/Povoa de Atalaia please.
