Support local Thai communities!
Many children in Isan are living without their parents for a variety of reasons, including: parental separation, domestic violence and neglect, disease – amongst others, increasingly, AIDS. Individual family members are often forced to leave their children and their elderly for longer periods of time, in order to travel to urban centers or abroad to work.
Many of the young people who leave fall into a life of crime and prostitution. Volunt2Thai works as a center from whereof the carers/volunteers stay in touch with the children and families through the partner schools, join public activities, and educational activities on our campus.
With the presence of V2T and through ongoing projects with the villagers, new structures are being created, which is enabling further developments of the area. With these increasing economic opportunities in the villages an infrastructure is created, which stops emigration.
Our project is designed for 20 years and more and the children cared for by us will be able to use the economic possibilities locally in the future. The center of life with the possibilities of earnings will lie in the municipalities (gentle tourism). The area will be known as a center of cultural exchange. Six villages have been involved in the build-up process since the beginning. The changes are already visible.
After the expansion of the campus has been strongly pushed in the last years and all goals have been reached, maintenance work is now required continuously. These are associated with costs such as materials and external craftsman services.
V2T is an aid project and not a hotel. Nevertheless, we consistently strive to comply with the standards listed to the best of our knowledge and belief, but they are without any legal guarantee.
V2T is a non-profit organisation.
Our earnings are used to cover the cost of the continued expansion of the campus, the upkeep and maintenance of the growing infrastructure, training aids for classroom work, transportation, food, utilities, and accommodation. For a similar monthly outlay of a local inhabitant living ‘Thai Style” we aim to provide you with a comfortable environment for the duration of your stay.

Volunteering activities, getting to know the NGO.
There is a lot of culture to be seen and experienced. You should book a minimum of 3 days!
You can get to know the work of an NGO, accompany the volunteers and gain unique experiences. You will have the unique opportunity of seeing village life at first hand and experience a culture that has changed little over time.
A tourist attraction must be created which brings day tourism. That’s the origin of this idea: A nature trail consisting of a rope bridge over the rice fields will be built. Equipped with explanatory boards and signs. Described is the variety of animals which live in the rice fields and which can be easily observed along the elevated nature trail. The users are school classes and day tourists like families coming from Udon Thani. Visitors are accompanied by rangers. They get a checklist with the available animals and note which animals they could discover. The rangers are volunteers, it is the first generation of children who have been trained in English in our villages in the last years. In the meanwhile they have developed into young adults and can earn some pocket money here. The positive side-effect is that they get first experience as tourist guides. It has to be mentioned that due to the financial situation only 25 percent of the children have a chance for further education after the 15th year of life. The rope bridge leading over the rice fields will have a length of about 250 meters installed at a height of about two meters twenty and ends in the middle of a small forest with a pond. Another important effect is that the villagers get an awareness about their nature. In the last few years, a lot of the natural habitat of the animals has been destroyed, many forests have been cleared and burned. Though these are the most important marketable assets of our area. Nature, tradition and local customs. Volunt2Thai teaches children to appreciate these assets, to protect nature and to use it as a source of income. A natural relearning will take place when the inhabitants realize that with intact nature one can gain more income than by destroying it. A botanical garden will also be linked to the nature trail. It will be part of the Volunt2Thai Campus & Cultural Centre.
