Visit Nui Tuong to provide the skills and tools for the younger generation to become engaged in a sustainable local community!
The Nui Tuong Project aims at community development in rural Vietnam by focusing on education, ecotourism and sustainable agriculture.
To educate and empower children and teenagers, we conduct many activities concerning, among others, English, organic agriculture, arts, sciences, information technologies, teamwork, responsibility, etc. We promote living an environmentally friendly lifestyle through our sustainable agricultural practices and trash management. We believe that in turn the children will spread their skills and awareness to future generations and other communities.
We also focus on creating a safe environment for the children to grow, as many of our students come from unstable family situations and do not fit the school system. To help those children we do individual follow ups and focus on personal development. We focus on their interest and help them to build skills to be good at it. For example, our students can learn leadership skills, to teach, organic farming, to design documents, to cook and to be tourist guides.
We have 4 traditional bamboo huts facing the beautiful Dong Nai river. Each of them can accommodate up to 6 people. The bathroom is shared. Our meals are cooked with organic vegetables from our farm or local products.
The Cat Tien National Park is 5 km away from our project. It is famous for the wild life and jungle. On the grounds of the project you can see and participate at the activities organized for the local kids. You can also take a walk in the scenic rice fields and visit fruit farms.
Hang Le, organizes and manages the project. She is in contact with a lot of people to make everything work and spends a lot of time on this project.
