With your stay you help Tiempo de Juego to transform communities and educate children to be agents of change in their own neighborhood.
Tiempo de Juego is a Colombian non-profit organization founded in 2006 in Bogotá that seeks to bring out the productive use of free time among children and young people in the most vulnerable areas of Colombia (Soacha/Bogotá, Santa Marta, Ciénaga, Timbiqui). Through sport, music and dance activities Tiempo de Juego encourages kids to use their free time in a responsible and positive way while generating a positive and replicable impact on their community and society. The organization seeks to distance children from social ills that surround them (drugs, armed gangs, early pregnancy) and educate them through strategies such as sport and cultural activities to develop important life skills like respect, tolerance and social cohesion. Tiempo de Juego uses soccer (Football for peace) as its main intervention tool and works in total with 9.500 children and 750 young leaders in Colombia.
El Habitante is a Culture Center and Hostal and managed by the NGO “Fundación Tiempo de Juego”. The social business is dedicated to responsible tourism and volunteers who want to make a positive impact on society while traveling.
