I had the pleasure to stay in Al Numeira Environmental Association in November 2022 and it was my very first experience with SocialBnB. And it was such an amazing experience! Although I have lived in Jordan and travelled there quite much, I never had the chance to visit an environmental project outside the big cities. What William, the founder of Al Numeira, created in Ghor Al Mazra'a, is very special and shows his great interest in supporting the local community. NEA is offering classes about agriculture, teaching non-violent communication, women from the village are planting vegetables and cooking delicious food for guests. You can go for a bike trip with them, stay at host families (what I did) and learn more about the worrying situation of the nearby Dead Sea. I loved the welcoming and hospitable atmosphere on sight and was overwhelmed by the huge amount of ideas. I definitely will come back to NEA and can warmly encourage you to stay there, support people outside the typical touristic areas in Jordan and get in touch with locals who deserve a big appreciation for what they create there. NEA is a place with great potential!
