Piña Palmera is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that has been working on the topic of disability among people from rural, mostly indigenous communities in Mexico for more than 30 years.
On the one hand, we do community work with people with different disabilities, from newborns to adults, and on the other hand, we do awareness work about the topic within the local community. Our project includes the rehabilitation and inclusion process of people with disabilities, inclusive education and productive workshops with the goal of an independent living in rural, indigenous and suburban areas.
We work in 5 communities with more than 530 employees. Since we were founded, more than 5000 children and adults with

How to get there
From Huatulco airport you can take a bus to Pochutla, get off at "Puerto Angel" and take a cab from there.
From the airport in Puerto Escondido, the best way to reach us is to take a cab to the ADO terminal in Puerto Escondido and from there take a bus to Pochutla. Again, here you have to get off at "Puerto Angel" and take a cab from there to Zipolite.
