The families of Yunguilla offer you an enriching experience while staying in the homes of this beautiful community. This house has two rooms with double beds, two rooms with twin beds, three single bathrooms per room and one shared bathroom. It also has two living rooms, two kitchens, a fireplace and a swimming pool (which is not included in the price of the accommodation). All meals are included in the price.

Hi, I'm Yunguilla and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
Yunguilla is a non-profit organisation that has been working for community development for 27 years through conservation, community tourism and sustainable micro-enterprises such as the production of cheese, jams, handicrafts and much more. Located just one hour north of Quito in the municipality of Calacalí, Yunguilla is situated in the cloud forest at an altitude of 2650 metres above sea level.
The 55 families of the Yunguilla community have been working in an organised way since 1995 to improve the quality of life through proper management of natural resources. We have developed the offer of community tourism from the perspective of communal living, sharing customs and cultures in this way.
Sustainable production
Activities
You can participate in the following activities of Yunguilla: Reforestation and restoration of forests, development of organic gardens or agroecological projects, production of jams with local fruits, production of cheese, production of recycled paper and other handicrafts, and environmental education programs.

How to get there
From the city of Quito you can take the metro to the north station of Ofelia. There you will take a bus to Calacalí and from there a cab to the community of Yunguilla, which will cost around $4.
Alternatively, you can arrive by private or rented car. You will receive the address of the accommodation after booking.
