Immerse yourself in the heart of Romania's breathtaking Retezat region on this 4-day adventure (3 nights). Your journey begins with a personal welcome day, where you arrive relaxed and can discover the surroundings at your own pace. In the following days, a perfect mix of impressive nature and cultural richness awaits you:
Day 1: Arrival & free time
- Arrival and check-in at your accommodation
- Welcome and orientation to the tour
- Free time - depending on your arrival time, you can decide what you feel like doing
- Options included:
- Visit to nearby sights
- Relaxation and time to enjoy the surroundings
Day 2: Adventure in the Retezat Mountains
You have the choice between two exciting experiences:
- Hike in the Retezat National Park: explore crystal-clear mountain lakes, diverse flora and fauna
- Fundătura Ponorului Trek: discover one of the largest karst plateaus in Europe
-Guided hike with an experienced local nature guide
-Picnic lunch in breathtaking nature
- In the evening: return, traditional dinner and relaxation
Day 3: Cultural immersion & time travel
- Visit to the local flea market (weekends only)
- Traditional lunch with a local family
- Visit to Hunedoara Castle (Corvinus Castle)
- Visit to important churches in the region, e. g. the church of Densuș (one of the oldest churches in Romania)
- Evening at leisure

How to get there
The best way to get there is via Timișoara, which is about 3 hours away by car. The transfer to & from Timișoara must be organized by yourself. Take the opportunity to explore this beautiful city before or after your stay - it's definitely worth it!
It's just under 2.5 hours by car from Cluj, and it's also easy to get there from here.
Cancellation Policy
- A cancellation of this tour is possible at any time.
- If you cancel at least 30 days before the date of travel, there is no cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before the departure date, 20% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 14 and 8 days before the departure date, 50% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 7 and 1 day before the departure date, 80% of the tour price will be charged.
