1 Year our partner

Ricardo Sagarminaga is a captain and marine biologist who has been dedicated to protecting the oceans since 1984. He co-founded the project in 1989 and the Spanish Society for Marine Mammals in 1999.
This project is dedicated to marine conservation, focusing on the study and protection of marine life, particularly in the Mediterranean. By combining scientific research, education, and collaboration with local communities, the initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of marine ecosystems and biodiversity.

Through hands-on research, the project collects data on marine species and their habitats, working closely with fishermen, local communities, and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices. One of the key goals is to understand the behavior and conservation status of marine animals, including dolphins, sea turtles, and other endangered species.
