We are Cristina and Jascivan and are managing the Mountain Lodge. We love discovering new places together with our children, and we are happy to share our recommendations for your next adventure.
We believe that both the environment and local community should benefit from our business. Isn’t sharing what tourism is all about anyway? This is why we try to preserve the natural treasures of the Ecuadorian Andean páramo and work closely together with the local community.
Sustainability means for us to reduce our carbon footprint to a minimum and create a positive impact on the social and cultural life of our community. Meaning: lots of walking, riding or biking (and laughing)!
Our aim to reach our goals towards a more sustainable lifestyle is a continuous path of learning and getting better at what we do. Here are a few examples of the steps we have already taken on this path:

Mit dem eigenen Auto:
Um zu unserer Lodge von Quito aus zu gelangen, gibt es zwei Wege: über Machachi oder über Selva Alegre (Sangolquí).Wir empfehlen die Route über Machachi, da das Kopfsteinpflaster dort in besserem Zustand ist.(Für die Strecke über Selva Alegre wird ein 4×4-Fahrzeug empfohlen.)
Ab Machachi sind es 17 km mit Abschnitten aus Kopfsteinpflaster – Asphalt – Kopfsteinpflaster.
Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln

- If you cancel at least 30 days before the date of travel, there is no cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before the departure date, 20% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 14 and 8 days before the departure date, 50% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 7 and 1 day before the departure date, 80% of the tour price will be charged.
