Hi, I'm Yunguilla and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
Yunguilla is a non-profit organisation that has been working for community development for 27 years through conservation, community tourism and sustainable micro-enterprises such as the production of cheese, jams, handicrafts and much more. Located just one hour north of Quito in the municipality of Calacalí, Yunguilla is situated in the cloud forest at an altitude of 2650 metres above sea level.
The 55 families of the Yunguilla community have been working in an organised way since 1995 to improve the quality of life through proper management of natural resources. We have developed the offer of community tourism from the perspective of communal living, sharing customs and cultures in this way.

How to get there
From the city of Quito, take the metro to the north station of Ofelia.
There you can take a bus to Calacalí and from there a cab to the community of Yunguilla, which costs $4. Alternatively, you can come with a rental car or we can organize a private transport (extra charge).
You will receive the address of the accommodation after booking.
Cancellation Policy
- A cancellation of this tour is possible at any time.
- If you cancel at least 30 days before the date of travel, there is no cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before the departure date, 20% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 14 and 8 days before the departure date, 50% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 7 and 1 day before the departure date, 80% of the tour price will be charged.
