About your accomodation
Our comfortable double room is built with natural building methods and sizes about 30m2.It has a little balcony, and it is bordering the wilder forest.With the cozy double bed it is ideal for a couple or two friends.The room can also fit a smaller family (up to 4people), as we can add two single beds for a little extra charge.
The accommodation has fans to keep you cool, mosquito nets to protect you from mosquito bites during the night and a working desk...

Gaia Ashram is a tropical Permaculture Farm and Eco Learning Center based on 6-hectares of land in the Northeast of Thailand. At Gaia Ashram we live in community & aim to live holistically using the Ecovillage and Permaculture values as our guideline.
Gaia Ashram Eco-Learning Centre provides courses on Permaculture, Ecovillage Design, Deep Ecology, Yoga & other Sustainable Living practices. We have hosted over 1000 guests, volunteers, interns and long-term residents for over 10 years now.
Gaia Ashram aims to increase the biodiversity of the land, while working on the restoration of our farm's ecosystem and inspiring local farmers to do the same. We are actively

We can arrange a tour on our farm, where you can learn things about earthen building, natural farming, permaculture and making natural products.
In consultation with the organization, a mini-workshop on natural building or natural product making can be offered at an additional cost.

How to get there
Gaia Ashram is located in the North-East of Thailand.We are between the small cities of Nong Khai & Udon Thani.Gaia Ashram is also located near Vientiane, the capital of Laos.
You could come by train, bus, or airplane to Nong Khai or Udon Thani from there you need to find your way to Nam Suai which is a village on highway #2 between Udon Thani and Nong Khai.
If you ask for directions make sure that you pronounce the name right (say Nam-Soy and not Nam-Som, as that is somewhere very different)...
