About your accomodation

The Homestay is a traditionally built house and is surrounded with peaceful nature. It is good accessible. The family living there there consists of 3 adults and 2 children.
There are two beds in every room. It can‘t be said for sure if they will be standing separately or next to each other, but it can be changed as per need at the arrival.

Your host will be a typical Ladakhi Family, often with some cattle and farmland.
LEHO is an Indian NGO founded in 1991.
It has many projects focusing on the improvement of Ladakh, on the topics of sustainability, ecotourism, water management and education, with an overall goal to raise awareness on climate issues.

Location

How to get there

When arrived in Leh, you will head north-west following the Indus-river downstream. In between Kaltse and Lamayuru you will turn left and cross the Indus-river. To Wanla there is no bus connection from Leh, but you can take the bus to Kargil and get off on at Lamayuru. It is also possible to reach Wanla by taking a taxi from Leh.
