Kizilot is important nesting site as well as tourism investment zone, giving extra importance to their protection, where conservation efforts need to be carefully planned to ensure viability and sustainability.

EKOS is an NGO based in Antalya, working on research and monitoring to protect sea turtles, Posidonia meadows, and coastal ecosystems.
This conservation tour is a science-based field program that aims to actively involve participants in protecting sea turtles nesting on Kızılot Beach in Manavgat, Antalya. Participants directly take part in nest detection, monitoring, and data collection for Caretta caretta and Chelonia mydas. From May to July, adult nesting behavior is observed, while in August and September, hatchling emergence is monitored and their safe journey to the sea is supported. All activities follow scientific protocols and offer a real conservation experience. Accommodation is provided in tents and prefabricated rooms in a shared camp area with common spaces, daily cleaning, and camp activities. The program promotes teamwork, intercultural interaction, field experience, and environmental awareness with international participants. In their free time, participants can explore Antalya and its surroundings
Location
How to get there
You can get your plane ticket to Antalya Airport [AYT] (Antalya-Türkiye). We will meet you at the airport upon your arrival. Also you can take a bus from the airport to an area near the camp. We will meet you at the bus stop where you arrive.
Cancellation Policy
- A cancellation of this tour is possible at any time.
- If you cancel at least 30 days before the date of travel, there is no cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before the departure date, 20% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 14 and 8 days before the departure date, 50% of the tour price will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made between 7 and 1 day before the departure date, 80% of the tour price will be charged.
