Hi, I'm Lena and I'm the founder of Wadadee Cares and Nambani. After growing up in Germany, I moved to Namibia about 10 years ago. Connecting our educational work in the NGO with tourism is my passion
Wadadee Cares e.V. is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating long-term opportunities for children and young women in Katutura, Windhoek, Namibia. Our long-term goal is to empower disadvantaged communities through sustainable support in education, nutrition, and health – enabling children to grow up in safety and dignity, and helping young women to live independent, self-determined lives.
Our main target groups are vulnerable children and teenagers, as well as girls and young women facing economic and social hardship. Our projects are Namibian run and registered independently, such as children's homes, a soup kitchen and other educational support programs. In addition, our NamPads project trains women to sew and distribute reusable sanitary pads, promoting menstrual health and generating income.
