Enriquezarte is a wonderful social organization. The warmth and kindness you feel there is ever-present. All the staff do a great job, and it is very rewarding to be part of this wonderful team, even if only for a short time. The program for volunteers is incredibly diverse, ranging from Spanish language courses to climbing and lessons on how to work with severely disabled children. Anyone who wants to broaden their horizons should definitely visit this organization.

EnriquezArte is the best example for socially responsible tourism! We did feel very comfortable in our private apartment and it had everything that is needed, including kitchen utensils and a washing machine (although an AC in the bedroom would have been nice - Barcelona gets very hot during the summer). The apartment is in the norhern part of the city, so expect to be on the metro for around 20-40min until you reach the touristy points of interest like the Barrio gótico, La Rambla or Barceloneta, but it takes only a 5min walk to the metro station of L3 and you can also experience quite a lot of things "off the beaten path" in the barrio where the apartment is located (an excellent panadería or a café are just around the corner, as well as the national park to anyone who likes hiking). Also the rooftop terrace has quite an incredible view over all of Barcelona - definitely recommend! The people at the community centre were all very kind and helpful. Jean, the manager, showed us the whole place and explained a lot about how the NGO works, who they support and what their daily business looks like. We even had the possibility to join a climbing lesson together with Jean, volunteers and people from the community. That was so much fun and we are really thankful for that experience! Would definitely stay again!
