About your accomodation

Our eco-bungalows are inspired by traditional African designs and are completely self-sufficient open structures, which allow you to experience nature, without negatively impacting it.

Our two premium Seafront Bungalows are located on the edge of the beach and offer splendid views over the marine park. They feature a downstairs living room equipped with handmade furniture and African art, a hammock for lounging through the day, and an en-suite bathroom with hot water rain shower. The king size bed on the second floor sleeping platform benefits from additional stunning views across the sea. These bungalows are the largest of the ecolodge, and comfortably cater for couples and families (with the option to add additional beds on the ground floor).

From your bed you can watch the stars at night, listen to the sound of the ocean or the bird songs...

Operational for more than 25 years, Chumbe Island is the world’s first financially self-sustaining marine protected area. Chumbe’s seven bungalows have been built in a unique eco design, ensuring close to zero impact on the environment.
