Hi, I'm Filipus and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
Our mission is to support the development of children and youth in Ruteng, where Mama's Homestay is based. With no educational centers in town and education in (eastern) Indonesia among the worst in Asia, we are renovating the village’s traditional communal house. This space will host the educational activities and workshops, focusing on English language skills, fostering creativity, providing a safe space, educational support, and parenting guidance, with help from local volunteers. Our long-term dream is to offer a professional educational center for all children in Ruteng, and eventually across Flores.

The accommodation is easily accessible by car or motorbike. The local bus company, Gunung Mas, can drop you off and pick you up right at the doorstep of Mama's Homestay. If you're arriving by air, the nearest airport is Frans Sales Lega Airport in Ruteng. We also offer a pick-up service for an additional fee, ensuring a smooth start to your stay.
