Welcome to our charming guesthouse in the historic center of Matino, just 40 km from the enchanting city of Lecce.Here you will find all services within walking distance.
The Bed & Breakfast "A Locanda tù Marchese" in Matino, near Gallipoli, is the result of a careful restoration.The building for 1700 built and run in 2002 by our family as a guest house.During the renovation we have tried to respect every element of the old rooms: the original geometries, the colored floors, the star vaults, etc.

Activities
The activities you can do with us range from visiting the beach, exploring historic villages and towns to activities directly with us that you can book on request. These include a cooking class with Nonna focusing on "orecchiette and traditional pasta" and "ricotta, primo sale and mozzarella on the fire" and a picnic on the farm surrounded by olive trees.
We can also organize local wine tastings for you in collaboration with trusted wineries.
The beautiful beaches of Gallipoli are only about 10 km away, and with our free city bike you can easily get there. Let us guide you to the historical villages in our area, real treasures waiting to be explored

How to get there
If you arrive by car:
The guesthouse is located in the historic center of Matino near the Chiesa Matrice di San Giorgio( 80 m far).Here the streets are very narrow and the parking spaces are often occupied, so it is easier to park a little outside.For this purpose, Via Luzzatti (600 m far)is a good choice, as there is a large and free parking lot there.From there you can reach the accommodation on foot.
