About your accomodation
Come and stay with us outside the the village of Sykaminea in an olive grove with sea views.
We welcome you in our accommodation for a total of eight people.In two buildings you have two double rooms and two twin rooms (with two single beds each).The pergola with an outdoor kitchen, a bathroom and a common room form the heart of the Hermitage.
The Hermitage can be rented either in whole or in part.The price here is for eight people...

Hi, I'm Andreas and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
The Hermitage Sykaminea (HS) is a residency for architects, artists, designers and craft people and a hub for ecological developments. The aim of the HS is to facilitate working residencies for groups engaging with a specific theme and to act site-specifically on Lesvos. All over Europe there is an exodus from the countryside, and with it villages that are dying out. On Lesvos, many olive groves are no longer harvested or sheep's wool is thrown away. We want to bring creative people here to deal with these problems and to show new possibilities.

How to get there
You can reach Lesvos by ferry from Piraeus (Athens) and Kavala or airplane from Athens and Thessaloniki. In summer there are also direct flights from some European cities to Mytilene. From Mytilene, the island’s capital, there are buses to Skala Sykamineas. To explore the island it makes sense to rent a car or scooter in Mytilene for your stay.
