Mount of Oaks/Monte dos Carvalhos is hidden in the agricultural foothills of the Serra de Gardunha mountain. We are located between the historic villages of Castelo Novo, Alpedrinha and Povoa de Atalaia in the municipality of Fundão. The nearest major towns are Covilhã to the north and Castelo Branco to the south; a perfect base for various activities such as hiking, swimming, climbing and biking. Getting here by TRAIN: Our nearest train station, a 40 min walk from us, is Alpedrinha and there is a direct route to Lisbon.
