Ulugbek’s homestay is located in the remote village of Uhum which is in Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan.Since its establishment in 2016, the owner of the homestay Ulugbek Ergashev and his wife Tursunoy Konarova is welcoming guests from all over the world.This young family has two daughters and a son.The daughters are called Malika and Asila and the son is called Shehroz

    Activities

    In the homestay, you can watch or participate in the preparation of traditional dishes or bread baking in a tandir oven. Ulugbek’s homestay is an ideal starting point for short or longer mountain hikes into the Nuratau Mountains. It is also possible to hike to the next guesthouse in the Asraf valley or hike to another homestay in Hayat village. Uhum is one of the ancient and largest villages in the Nuratau Mountains so you have a lot to discover. You may hike to a petroglyph site in the Nuratau Nature Reserve or visit the ruins of an ancient fortress and the mausoleum of an Islamic priest who was the first to preach the religion in this region

      You may book with us a direct private transfer from your hotel in Tashkent, Samarkand, or Bukhara to Ulugbek's homestay.Alternatively, it is also possible to get to the homestay using public transport and shared taxis. In order to get to the homestay, you will need to get to Jizzakh city first.Jizzakh is reachable from major cities by bus, trains, and shared taxis
