Gobabis' beautiful dome-roofed guesthouse is a great place to sleep in a homely atmosphere.
In this friendly double room you will have a shared bathroom. The small desk invites you to write down your experiences. A large kitchen with a dining room is available for your meals, which is shared with other residents.
You can look forward to a garden, non-smoking rooms, free Wi-Fi and barbecue facilities.

Hi, I'm Jackie and I’ll be happy to host you during your stay!
Steps for children was founded to help create a future for the children and young adults in Namibia and Zimbabwe and to empower them through education and training to break the cycle of poverty on their own.
The concept of the steps for children foundation is based on two pillars:
One pillar is our social steps with soup kitchens and educational facilities ranging from crèches for the youngest children to preschools and afternoon classes and care services for students in higher grades.
The other pillar is our income-generating steps such as carpentry, vegetable growing, sewing, chicken farming and our guest houses at the Okakarara and Gobabis locations.

In Gobabis you will be guided exclusively through the project, if you wish, and get insights into educational institutions as well as the everyday work in the carpentry workshop and computer school.

How to get there
Gobabis is located on the main route between South Africa (Gauteng) and the Namibian Atlantic coast - the busy Trans-Kalahari Highway. Coming from the east, the steps for children guesthouse is the first stop in Gobabis.
