••About your accomodation
The accommodation is located on the grounds of the La Gamba Tropical Station, right on the edge of the Piedras Blancas National Park.
The tropical station has a total of 6 buildings: the main building and reception, 2 accommodation buildings (Casa Matula and Casa Nueva), the comedor (kitchen and dining porch), and the research workshop with attached lecture hall.
You will be accommodated in one of the two accommodation buildings.Our shared rooms are simply furnished, but cozy and clean, with bunk beds that can accommodate up to eight people

Activities
Due to the close proximity to the National Park and the village of La Gamba, exciting excursions can be made. For this purpose we have compiled some half and full day tours that can be undertaken directly from the station.
These include activities such as horseback riding, hiking, river walks, night hikes, visits to various projects (e. g. Corredor Biológico La Gamba - COBIGA), hikes to waterfalls and much more!

How to get there
The tropical station is located near the Pacific coast in southwestern Costa Rica, in the province of Puntarenas, 8 km NNW of the town of Golfito.It belongs to the small village of La Gamba and is only 4 kilometers away from the Interamerican Highway (Panamericana).The nearest city is Golfito, which also has an airport that is served by the capital San José.
By plane (airline "Sansa Air") from the capital San José to Golfito:
This is the fastest way to reach the tropical station La Gamba.The flights go at least 3 times a day, and take about 50 minutes
